Hah ha hah--people are funny sometimes when overestimating the impact of relatively innocuous situations--even though they mean well, of course! All I can say is that you probably shouldn't ever watch a Godzilla movie with Kevin and his father and brother (because--spoiler alert!--Tokyo gets clobbered). In any event, I hope that your father-in-law in particular has recovered from his grief by now, lol! (By the way, did you intentionally make it seem as if the blanket and pillow were sympathetically wincing, too, or was this just a fortunate accident?) ;)
